The Scandi Session in Oxford – a nice overview from Jimmy the Musicman

There’s a monthly Scandinavian music session at the James Street Tavern in Oxford, UK. Not being so far away ourselves, we’re itching to get there at the first available opportunity. In the meantime, here’s a nice quick overview of proceedings from our man on the scene, James Weikert – aka Jimmy the Musicman. We’re hoping he’ll regale us with tales of his experiences of living in Sweden at the first available opportunity – in the meantime, he highlights the thriving Scandinavian and Scandifriend communities in Britain and captures well that sense of wonder so many of us Scandifriends experience upon seeing and hearing the nyckelharpa.
